Chinese for Affirmative Action
StopAAPIHate (funded by Chinese for Affirmative Action) has been all over the news and social, but they’ve had a huge part in helping bring the issues to light by collecting and sharing data on what’s happening. Continuing to track, monitor and responding to attacks. Asian communities don’t tend to report crimes for fear of retaliation, so collecting this data and being able to mobilize against it through education and reform is critical.

The 1882 Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to building public awareness about the history and continuing significance of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 and how to better protect sites like the Donner Summit Tunnels. They are in favor of a private-public collaboration that might include basic infrastructure to mitigate the wear and tear on the site, such as an interpretive center and trail markers, as well as volunteer docents and educational opportunities.
