One of this century's worst disasters has impacted millions and left thousands homeless following two devastating earthquakes near the Türkiye-Syria border on 6 February 2023. The earthquake hit communities at the peak of winter, leaving hundreds of thousands of people, including small children and older people, without access to shelter, food, water, heat, and medical care in cold temperatures.
