Every day, One Simple Wish works tirelessly to amplify the voices of individuals impacted by foster care and crisis through their often simple, yet always meaningful wishes. One Simple Wish launched in 2008 as an online giving platform designed to raise awareness and empower everyone to restore hope and happiness to kids and young adults impacted by foster care and crisis throughout the United States. At onesimplewish.org, we believe that sharing stories, not statistics, is the most effective way to connect communities and change lives. With your support, One Simple Wish can continue to build our network of Community Partner agencies, ensuring that everyone who needs us knows we are here and feels seen, heard, and loved.

Love For Our Elders aims to alleviate social isolation among older adults through handwritten letters and intergenerational connections.

Teaching Matters works to close the opportunity gap of a radically unequal education system for under-served and historically marginalized children. Through expert coaching and targeted support, we empower educators to lead effectively and create goal-oriented learning environments. From early childhood to high school, our model improves educational outcomes in critical areas like literacy and mathematics, while nurturing social-emotional growth. We envision a nation where every student has access to excellent teaching, regardless of zip code.

Plan International in the Netherlands

Plan International is a development cooperation operating in more than 80 countries worldwide, working to support vulnerable children, with a particular focus on girls and young women. Plan International commits to eliminating the disadvantages that girls and young women face, so that they have the same opportunities and rights as boys. With the support of thousands of sponsors, companies and (institutional) donors, Plan International works to improve the lives of children and young people worldwide.

Stichting Stop Pesten NU

At Stop Pesten Nu, we operate exclusively in the Netherlands. Despite the large impact we have made, we do not receive any kind of funding for our activities—not from the government, ministries, or any other organizations. To continue our work and expand our impact, we urgently need structural financial support.

Our efforts have been entirely volunteer-driven, but to create even more impact, we need to build a dedicated, home-based team to manage and grow our initiatives. Every contribution is essential in helping us raise awareness, provide resources, and work towards a world without bullying.

Through our work, we aim to reduce bullying in all its forms, fostering awareness, empathy, and action to stop bullying before it begins.

Stichting The Hunger Project Nederland

Een wereld zonder honger, het kan wél.

Bij The Hunger Project NL zien we honger als het grootste oplosbare probleem ter wereld. De mensen die met honger leven zijn niet deel van het probleem, maar de sleutel tot de oplossing. Daarom investeren we in mensen in Afrika, Zuid-Azië en Latijns-Amerika. We leiden lokale vrijwilligers op en ondersteunen ze. Zo stellen we miljoenen mensen in staat – met een focus op de empowerment van vrouwen – om zichzelf te ontwikkelen en een betere toekomst op te bouwen met het oog op zelfredzaamheid.

Van honger naar hoop.

“Honger behoort nu echt tot het verleden” - Idah Kanyama, die net buiten het Majete Wildlife Reserve in het zuidwesten van Malawi woont.

Idah had al land, maar ontdekte hoe ze dat efficiënter kon gebruiken. Tijdens landbouwcursussen leerde ze verschillende gewassen verbouwen. Nu verbouwt ze naast rijst ook zoete aardappelen en groenten, waarvan ze een deel zelf gebruikt en een deel verkoopt. Met de opbrengst van haar tuin betaalt ze het schoolgeld van haar kinderen. Ze heeft ook vee kunnen kopen. Dankzij de mest van haar dieren groeien haar gewassen beter.

“Ik had geen idee dat ik zoveel kon produceren op mijn eigen land. En nu heb ik ook de vrijheid om te kiezen wat ik wil verbouwen.”

Stichting Heifer Nederland

Heifer is a global development organization on a mission to end poverty while caring for the earth. We are on the ground and locally embedded in 19 countries (across the continents Latin America, Africa to Asia), supporting small-scale farmers and investing in agricultural value chains to provide these farmers and their families the opportunity to earn sustainable living incomes and better integrate rural women, youth and Indigenous populations in more inclusive markets while reducing and mitigating the negative impacts on the climate and ecosystem. In doing so, vulnerable rural households are more resilient to shocks, allowing them to thrive, not just survive.

Heifer is known for its strong networks, direct with local communities, entrepreneurs, farmer entrepreneurs, coops, governments, private sector and other NGO’s. Since 1944 Heifer has supported over 46 million families. By 2030, Heifer aims to empower an additional 10 million farming households to earn a sustainable living income.

- Subvención y/o patrocinio de centros educativos o de acogida infantil.
- Financiación y/o implementación de proyectos humanitarios relacionados con los fines de la fundación.
- Realización de campañas de sensibilización en relación con los fines de la fundación.
- Organización de conferencias, seminarios, talleres y campañas de sensibilización.
- Oferta, organización y coordinación de acciones de voluntariado.

Por la Fundación directamente en centros propios o ajenos.
• Concediendo ayudas técnicas o económicas.
• Otorgando subvenciones o donaciones a otras instituciones.
• Participando en el desarrollo de las actividades de otras entidades que realicen trabajos o funciones coincidentes o complementarias con las de la propia Fundación.
• Mediante la realización de estudios, Investigaciones, cursos y conferencias.
• Mediante publicaciones, exposiciones y otras actividades, medioambientales,
sociales, culturales o educativas.
• Además, con el fin de obtener ingresos, la Fundación podrá realizar actividades mercantiles cuyo objeto este relacionado con los fines fundacionales o sean complementarias o accesorias de las anteriores, con sometimiento a las normas reguladoras de la defensa de la competencia, como, a título de ejemplo, la organización, promocl6n, comerciali7ación y producción de toda clase de eventos relacionados con los fines de la Fundación, así como la búsqueda de patrocinadores y financiación para los mismos.

Para la consecución de los fines mencionados en el artículo anterior, la Fundación realizará, entre otras, las actividades que se indican a continuación, sin propósito exhaustivo:
• Construir escuelas en zonas marginadas proveyéndolas de todos los Servicios necesarios.
• Fortalecer competencias de maestros, directivos y padres de familia para elevar la calidad educativa.
• Lograr un mayor índice de matriculación y permanencia escolar.
• Ofrecer cuidados y asistencia especializada a enfermos de cáncer en fase no curativa y apoyo a familias.
• Investigar a través de universidades proyectos de ayuda a enfermos de cáncer y programas de atención domiciliaria.
• Apoyo emocional a las familias con enfermos de cáncer durante la enfermedad y la pérdida del ser querido.
• Impulsar la captación e incorporación de investigadores, así como apoyar la incorporación de jóvenes estudiosos al mundo de la investigación.
• Concesión de ayudas y balsas de estudio para estudiantes e investigadores.
• Facilitar la presencia de alumnos de los últimos cursos de Grado, Másteres (oficiales o no) y otras formaciones para su mejor formación y adquisición de experiencias profesionales.
• Financiación y realización de proyectos de investigación relacionados con los fines de la fundación.
